Waitrose does 'The Big Issue' better than anyone else

If you've shopped at Tesco, Asda, Lidl or Aldi, you'll know that Waitrose is simply better.

It's better food, better service and apart from the price, a better experience. It also has better parking, now that the Van storage facility has discontinued.

However, it doesn't stop there.

Over the past few years, Tesco's in West Malling installed a Big Issue seller outside its doors, in order to make people appreciate the cost of living is indeed affordable to most folk.

"The guilt that people feel when shopping here, walking in/out and constantly saying 'no thank you' to the Big Issue seller is fantastic for us." said Tesco store manager Ms Heartless. "It's caused our shoppers to go about their shopping experience quickly, efficiently and not care about what they spend, knowing there are people that are so much worse off. Sales have grown by 33% since installing our Big Issue seller!"

Halloooo, good morning - Big Issue for you Madam? Big Issue for you, Sir?

Waitrose has got in on the act!

If you've shopped at Waitrose Kings Hill recently, you'll notice a much more 'Waitrosey' style of Big Issue seller.

"She's so much politer and well-spoken than that of the Tesco seller. I still feel guilty walking in & out of the shop, and often I've chosen not to go there at all just to avoid the awkwardness, but I must admit the experience is so much more upmarket" said a Kings Hill shopper.

It seems Waitrose Kings Hill have done themselves proud, by installing such an eloquent version of the Big Issue seller. Well done team!

Have you experienced the eloquence of the Waitrose Big Issue Seller?

Will you now go there, and try your hardest not to think of this post as she says 'Hallooo good morning Madam, big issue?' in her kindest Kings Hillian accent?

Does anyone actually buy it?
