Liberty have today announced that Dog Poo is to be exhibited as Art.
However, with a slight twist....
Some of you may have heard about, or even visited the Liberty Trust Art Gallery in the control tower building to view a variety of modern art pieces, but some new art is being displayed in it's natural environment - outside at local parks, walks and cricket pitches.
"I was taking a stroll this morning around the cricket pitch. There was one girl learning to ride her bike whilst also trying to avoid the dog poo in fear of ruining the art. A bunch of young boys were able to play football but instead of using jumpers for goal posts, two piles of shite were spaced perfectly apart for a goal" said local one local deranged do gooder.
The manager at Liberty informed us, this idea came to light when she noticed a local comment how pathetic it was to worry and complain so much about dog shit. It was always 'a thing' when they grew up, so why should we show such concern nowadays? I thought to myself - he's right! If we're not careful, all this moaning about dog shit will end up making it extinct. What if we no longer see dog shit in public? I'd be lying if the thought of that didn't make me sad.
What kind of message are we sending if kids grow up in an environment where they don't have to worry about eyesight, diarrhoea, body cramps and severe kidney disorders. We HAVE to stop wrapping them in cotton wool.
Locals were out in force this morning, encouraging their dogs to participate in the local art, and it seems from the cricket pitch alone we have quite a few naturally talented artists.
Bravo Kings Hill!
Have you seen dog shit on your travels? Perhaps you've had to step into the road narrowly missing a german 4x4 to avoid ruining some art. Share your stories and get in touch, we'd love to hear from you.
